Conventional Energy Testimonies

"We called Heat Rite when we heard about the impending 32% rise in heating fuel prices. They recommended a new system that would pay for itself in two years. They were right. We reduced our fuel consumption by 40% in the first year." - Rick B, New Hampshire

.

"Because of our track record of quality home construction, we need HVAC specialists that can meet our standards. Heat Rite meets all of our our customers needs and installs the most efficient equipment at a very competitive price." - David P., Maine

.

"Thank you for your quick and prompt service. We didn't think we would be able to find a heating tech on a Friday night at 11:30. As I told you, we just bought the home and didn't know the boiler was busted. We were very thankful that you were able to supply us with temporary heat with such short notice and so late at night.

Your financing programs made it possible for us to replace the system quickly. Again, thank you so much."- Ann M., Maine

Alternative Energy Stories

Being from the south, Scott was familiar with heat pumps but he was concerned with with the electrical use in such a cold climate. After discussing the Acadia system, he thought it was well worth a try. He has a brand new 1500 square foot ranch his home was under construction.

For the first 12 days in November, the doors were left open so contractors could finish their work. He moved in shortly after. The family keeps the thermostat at 70 . His first bill for the whole house Acadia system was only $200. His light bill for December with normal conditions was about the same at $198.00

Bruce chose to have Water Furnace's geothermal system installed in his home. As a well driller, he knows about the many benefits of geothermal energy and thought he would give it a shot.

He is heating and producing hot water for a 2400 square foot home. When the system was commissioned, the house was still under construction. we were fighting the cold weather and had to start up the system early.

Besides the power tools and lights, the geothermal heat pump was the only thing running. Due to ongoing construction, the doors had to remain open. With the thermostat set at 68, the combined electrical bill for October though December was approximately $175 for all 3 months.

Bruce will keep us informed as he moves in to his new home in 2009.

Charles and Kimberly owned a 1500 square foot cape built 20 + years ago. They decide to build the exact home for a family member. They wanted to attach it to their existing home and add a garage and a 24 x 18 common family room.

Charles contacted me as he was concerned with the heating cost. He spent $1500 for heating oil in one month to heat his existing home with baseboard heat - that did not include his cooling costs.

We talked about geothermal energy. He thought it would be out of his price range so we decided to run the numbers. We used a complex, industry-standard computer software.

Charles is expected to spend only $1800 to heat, cool and make hot water for both homes and the large addition. With low maintence and a ten year parts and labor warranty, he will have a return on his investment in eight years.
